Dean Woods and Carsten Wolf won Tour of Sweden stages. Also Markus Schleicher (Circuit Escaut-Durme), Gerard Veldscholten (Stage 4 Ronde van Nederland) and Hartmut Bölts (Stage 2 Australian Alpine Classic) recorded significant victories.
