Very rare WELLINGTON HURRICANES home Player Issue Temex shirt from 1996/1999 seasons worn when Hurricanes were formed in 1996 as one of five New Zealand Super 12 teams. The Hurricanes region comprises the lower North Island. The team's first coach was former All Black Frank Oliver while Mark "Bull" Allen was named as captain. Their first match, played at Palmerston North Showgrounds was the first ever Super Rugby match.
