2008-09 South Africa Rugby Player Issue Home Shirt

Extremely rare SOUTH AFRICA home Player Issue shirt from 2008/2009 season worn when Amabokoboko led by coach Peter de Villiers (first non-white coach of the Bokmasjien) during Tri Nations Series won their first match against All Blacks in New Zealand since 1998. Kit was also used when Bokke were No.1 team in the IRB World Ranking and noted several respectable wins during 2008 end of year tour (Autumn internationals).

Shirt has all replica differences. Felt material Springbok crest with SA Rugby detail, CCC Canterbury logo and South Africa flag on left sleeve. Grip inserts on front and sleeves which enables players to hold the ball more securely. Light transfer material 'Sasol' sponsor. Much tighter fit to maximise player performance. Different and lighter material composition (78% Polyester / 22% Cotton). Design not commercially available to this specification.
