2001 Ulster Rugby Match Worn Home Change Shorts (v Leinster)

Ultra rare ULSTER RUGBY home Match Worn change shorts from 2001/2002 season worn during inaugural season of the Celtic League when the first Irish European Cup winners (and the first outside England or France) led by new head coach Alan Solomons, captain Andy Ward and top scorer David Humphreys finished 2nd in Pool A and reached semi-final. Ravenhill Stadium based team also finished 2nd in IRFU Interprovincial Championship and missing out Heineken Cup knockout stage by points difference.

This navy shorts were used only in one game (with home Temex jersey) and weren't available to the public. It was Celtic League match against Leinster Rugby played on Friday, 31st of August 2001 at Donnybrook in Dublin. Ulster squad: Justin Fitzpatrick, Paul Shields, Simon Best, Paddy Johns, Jeremy Davidson, Andy Ward, Neil McMillan, Russell Nelson, Neil Doak, David Humphreys, Tyrone Howe, Jonathan Bell, Adam Larkin, Sheldon Coulter and Paddy Wallace. Replacements: Ryan Constable, Niall Malone, Kieran Campbell, Clem Boyd, Mark Blair, Tony McWhirter and Ritchie Weir.

Shorts has all replica differences. Fully embroidered crest with 'ULSTER' details and red CCC logo. 'Bank of Ireland' sponsor logo on the back is also fully embroidered. Reinforced design to the front. Pockets to both sides. Elasticated waist. Made in South Africa from 100% Cotton. One-off design not commercially available.
